Up-grading questions - please help

I am up-grading from a 37 gal with 170w of pc lights to a 125 with 3 250w mh lights. My fish and corals will think they moved from a cave to the sun. I have a few questions and need some recommendations.

1. How should I acclimate to the new lighting?

2. Presently I do a 5% water change weekly, with a tank this size this will be a pain, can I change the schedule to a 20% monthly?

3. The new tank has overflows in the back corners that you can see the pipes from the sides, how does everyone hide this so it’s not visible?

Alot depends on what corals you have. I would start with a reduced photo period of 6 hours a day then ramp up 30 minutes each week until you're at 8-9 hours.

I wasn't trying to be a smart arse. I just meant don't clean the algae off the inside glass of the overflow.

i try and do a 5g water change a week on my 125g. if you get 2 5g aquariums from wally-mart it becomes fairly easy one tank to make the water and one to remove the old water to. i find this easier than trying to do a 20g water change.

what Rick said.
