Underwater Pics...(dialup beware!!!)

So I put my camera in a clear plastic container today to see if I could get some neat shots without glare off the glass or reflection off the top of the water...I always see cool macros of SPS corals and thought I would see if I could get some decent macros of my softies. After about 200 shots these are the dozen or so that came out OK.

Just some plain old stringy Xenia:

Some of my favorite 'shrooms (and Zoa's):

Macro shot of Colt Coral:

Macro shot of Finger Leather:

Macro shot of Brain:

Macro shot of Yellow Spaghetti Finger:

The Crazy Tuber:

One of my favorite patches of Zoa's:

Different angle of the blue/purple 'shrooms:

More 'shroomies:

more to come...

Both!!! I used a clear lexan container big enough I could still work the camera...not an ideal setup...there were some shots I couldn't get because of braces etc. or just the fact that if I tilted any further the edge would have been underwater.

I dont think tube anemones can be fragged anyway

I know a guy who will make you a custom top down box for $50. Even though I know how to work acrylci pretty well...I didnt want to deal with it so I had him make me one.

Ya their anatomy is somewhat different than regular nems.

I saw a post on a local board here where a guy made one...kinda gave me the idea for what I did today...I was just too lazy and cheap to make the real deal!
