Type of overflow tube ?

Does anyone use the Stockman type overflow tube ? Do you like it more than the Durso overflow ? Why do you like one over the other ? TIA Ted

Please post Pics , if you have them .

i use durso's, ive seen the stockmans, i think i would like it better simply because it takes less space in the overflow, but i think the durso's may be easier to fine tune to be quiet. but im not sure.

I use the Durso design myself. Seems to me that the Durso would require less maintenance due to the intake being larger and less likely to clog up. However, the Stockman is probably less likely to get a snail stuck in it. To make my Durso fit in my overflow I cut back the "T" and the street elbow about 1/2" each to make it more compact. I also used a PVC plug for the air bleeder as opposed to a short piece of PVC with a cap on it to make it shorter.

i had a heck of a time tuning in a stockman pipe when i still used an overflow box. i never could get it quiet. never used dursos though, i just restrict the drain line a little to keep it quiet.
