I have one and love it.......................................but.

I have read posts from other users who have had problems. So summarize.

1: I have a T1000 'in sump' model. This is at least a year old, since than there has been a T1000 'multi' introduced. This model works as a hang on or in sump model. I have heard mixed reviews on this unit and I beleive it lacks some of the adjustability of the previous models.

2: Bubbles - Some users claim a problem injecting enough air into their skimmers, some have added air pumps to increase the bubble count, again I have not had this problem but some others have.

3: The Rio factor....If you have researched rio pumps you will see that many take issue with them. The T1000 was originally designed to use the Rio a its drive unit, the german made Aquabee has been listed as a replacement.

Anyway,I love mine, works great, skims alot. but as I said others have had their issues.

Regards

T

I had one on my old 125 for nearly 2 years with no problems. I think it's one of the best skimmers out there for under $200. It takes a while to tune it but once you hit the sweet spot, it's just set and forget. I tee'd of my return pump to feed it and it worked great. Bob
