Heck with the fish, I'm getting seasick!
Wouldn't my wife love me if I didn't have the wave height adjusted properly and it started sloshing out all over the floor.

I don't think I would want one. I too would be worried about tank structural integrity with those types of waves continually hitting the sides.

Roger from Tunze said this will not be a problem, but I wonder the same thing too.
A couple of things that I am a bit concerned with is the wave frequency and the sloshing etc... sounds in the overflow. I asked Roger about the frequency and he said that the film was taken with the box on max, but I still wonder how much slower minumum would be.

I'm all for a wave tank but that does not look natural at all. I've always wanted to design a surge tank and someday, with a little more time and room I will.

Very cool ideal! Kinda like when we were kids and would make the above ground pool rockby bounceing up and down on a pool float. Of course we over did it one time and the pool busted but lots of fun. Very smart to use the natural frequenicy of the tank, not much engery used. The wave length will be longer in bigger tanks unless you can get it up to two waves at once I think thats how we busted the pool.

Agreed! The problem is you can see the surface wave...I think if that was somehow hidden, it wouldn't be as bad.

Actually if you tuned in down to about 1" wave height my canopy would hide the wave. The overflow is going to sound like waves on the beach I think. It sure does move the water around.
