Sounds like a plan.... while I'm there, I'll help Jeremy move also...

Then when we're done, we can all kick back with a beer and watch the accidents in front of Dannielle and Andy's house...

Well, it's a project all right... I need something physical every so often to take the monotony of studying out. So this is a joint project. The foreground on the right is where the shed is going to go, and the rock walls are outlining the beds. (climbing roses, lilies, and random other plants) In the back on the left is an 8' hole where the pond/water garden will be once we decide on a shape. Hopefully we'll have that done before next week, although it doesn't look like the weather is going to hold, so maybe not. At the moment, the plan is to pave the patio with sandstone (from same construction site - I've already been collecting nice flat pieces for that) plant pearlwort to creep between the stones, frame the pond in stone, add a waterfall, fence it all off, and concrete in some hammock posts.

And that is my May-June project.

(This coming from the woman who completely remodeled 2 bedrooms over spring break...)

Oh, and just so you know, this part of the yard was a disaster when we moved in - it was sort of the dumping ground of the yard, and was full of random debris - concrete chunks, building materials, embedded railroad ties, and scads of daylillies. Oh, and a big wood pile. It wasn't remotely level, either, and that's been the biggest challenge.

This is already a huge improvement.

Sounds familure, You get that "Emergancy" call to get in, or it's your job. So you jump though hoops to get there to find out that the "Emergancy" is the boss's daughter can't print her PAINTING. or another one I love it.

Happy Tuesday!

Good thing I'm typin' and not talkin' - had a rough time at the dentist this morning. I went to get a permanent crown put in (yucky in and of itself). Well, it didn't fit right so instead they took new impressions, so I could have a new crown made, put the temporary one back in and gave me 4 fillings to make up the difference. At least it wasn't a wasted trip! And my smile looks better - all the fillings were in the front. Of course, until the novacaine wears off, my fat lip is more noticible than my pretty teeth. Humph.

And yes, I know how to brush and floss - I have "tetracycline teeth": no enamel due to use of tetracycline as a little 'un. I can brush and floss till the cows come home, and I will still have a close relationship with my local dentist.

Danielle - 2 bedrooms over spring break? If you ever want a new project, we could provide room and board in NC for a while...You could even bring the doggie...

What can I say? I work hard, and I play hard. (But I have to get this house done before doing anyone else's!) It's also raining now, so off to hit the books for a review of something I forgot but need to know for my boards. T - 24 days and counting...

I hope you heal quickly Newfiemom! (Geoff, now would probably be a good time to pick up some easy brownie points...)

hope your lip heals goes down quick, we dont want people pointing finger sat geoff

i had my first tooth pulled while on vacation last year. a wisdom tooth. oh man i was the biggest baby. crying, tears, screaming, the whole lot. this of ocurse, was during the novacainse injection portion. we havent even gotton to the tooth pulling.

come time for THAT.. oh man it was like i was being attacked by freddy krueger. i was scremaing and jerking, they ended up securing me to the chair via straps around my shoulders, arms, and one across my forehead

doc put something in my mouth to clamp my jaw open, i'm making a feeble attempt to scream, tears rolling down my face, doc reaches in, click, click, pull. then goes, "wow, i love a one instrument extraction" the entire "pulling" took all of about 15 seconds. he reached in some sort of tool and just pryed the tooth up and it popped right out with two prys.

of course, i never knew he was done till he stuck it in my face.. i was "slightly" embarrassed

brownie points, huh. i think it is more like anti-doghouse points. luckily for me we have a really big dog, oh, but wait we do not have a dog house. ok maybe anti-couch points.

anyhow, i just earned a wheelbarrow full of them this morning. i had to teach the Bellsouth DSL installer, how to hook up his own equipment at Newfiemom's parents house.

Don't ya just love that Geoff?? Having to pay for installation, but yet, you have to train the installer on how to install something... So basically you end up paying for his education...

Hmmmm... Feels like being a homeowner with no kids...

Brownie Points

Yes, you got some with the DSL installation. She had left a couple of message for me at work trying to find you, and said that the guy was on the phone with someone in your office. I was about on the floor laughing. I'm sure mom will be singing your praises for a long time after this.

My lip swelling is gone. Yay! I actually ate lunch almost like a human being. Jay - I HATE novacaine shots, and always have. I started going to this dentist b/c he uses nitrous oxide (a rarity these days). However, he is EXCELLENT at giving shots that involve NO pain, WITHOUT nitrous! (excuse the caps, it is pretty unbelieveable). I got a shot today, without nitrous, right under my nose (for the work on my front teeth), and it didn't even sting. This guy rocks.

that does sound a lot better.

i got mine pulled while i was on vacation.... (that's how i refer to my prison stay last year)

nitorus is out of the question. the guards and doctors are just a tad bit on the sadistic side when it comes to the shots. they maek a good effort in showing you how BIG the needle is and how BAD it's gonna hurt, and then laughin at you afterwards

geoff, i hate that. i wish our cable installers knew how to do their jobs here! all three houses i've had a cable modem installed in three different houses, plus my moms house, and an unrestricted line in my office. and of course every time, i had to do the work. grrrr

but being the friendly guy that i am, i called to complain each and every time, and got my first month of service for free
