We are very excited to see great growth in the TRT Reviewers Club and the number and quality of the reviews submitted by our members. In less than 4 months, our club has grown to almost 60 Reviewers and Sr. Reviewers that have contributed the vast majority of the 1,400 reviews that have been published to date.
In order to continue to grow while making sure that the TRT Reviews Initiative adheres to the highest standards, we will be raising the bar to become a TRT Reviewer / Sr. Reviewer. The new requirements (below) will become
effective immediately but
they will not affect the current status of Reviewers and Sr. Reviewers.
To become a
Reviewer and join the Reviewers' Club TRT members will need to meet the following requirements:
- 20 or more Reviews
- At least 100 posts in the TRT Forums
- At least 3 months tenure at TRT
Sr. Reviewers will now be elected by the Reviewers Club Leaders (as of today crvz, ckusnierek and alan_we) and approved by TRT Staff. To present candidacy to become a Sr. Reviewer, members will need to meet the following requirements:
- Be a TRT Reviewer
- 50 or more Reviews
- At least 400 posts in the TRT Forums
- At least 6 months tenure at TRT
- Be willing to write Complete Editorial Reviews on products received from mfgs.
Again, the requirements above are effective for new Reviewers and Sr. Reviewers and they will not affect anyone's current status.
One other modification which we are not making now but we will need to make in the next couple of months, is to limit the members who receive products from mfgs to the Sr. Reviewers group. The Reviewers and Sr. Reviewers groups will continue to grow and in the not-to-distant-future this step will be necessary to make the program manageable and be able to continue to keep a high standard of quality.
