Oh and the chances I would drive cross country in a "microbus" well not very likely, I'd rather push a Harley

TRAVEL TIP:

For those of you traveling South on I-26 past Asheville, I heartily recommend a stop off the Saluda, NC, Exit at the Atkins Orchard stand, right off the exit beside the Texaco station. Best jellies, jams, cider, honey, and fruit in season that you can find anywhere. Nice folks, too. I always stop and shop.

Dick

Got to love the Saluda grade... although not fun when you are driving a 3 ton van with 2 additional tons behind it and your brakes go out... not fun! The guy with me nearly pee'd himself. Anyway, from that day forward I took 25 down when I had and load behind me. Same elevation change, but it's stretched out over a further distance and was easier on the brakes

May not be able to make it afterall. I may have to head up toward Dick's place (other side of Knoxville) Saturday morning. I should be back in time to make a late appearance at the BBQ, but there is a possibility that I may not make it...

looks as if we will be making that trip to Cookesville, TN (sp?) unless someone has a truck and wants to play courier saturday
