Many thanks to Tom and Mel. Bob and I had a great time. And thanks to Tony for the managing of the fireworks. Fabulous display...I even think Fisher (Tom and Mel's dog) enjoyed them.

Actually, Dick, Jeff agreed that Butch edged him out. (Bob agreed since he's driven that Eastcoast trek many times.) But Jeff and Butch may have called it a gentleman's tie

It's that tired fishing story that comes up every year.

So good to visit with folks that I have seen before, and to meet folks that I have only seen here on TRT. Glad to hear that folks arrived home safely. Jeff and Butch are still on the way.

See you all later.

Definitely! Thanks again Tom, everywhere that helped put this together, and all the people that brought the frags too.

If only we had decided to go to the Hush last night as well...

Dick, even though Jeff and I may look like we are at the top of the food chain, that was actually my one and only plate for the day. The majority of the time was spent out in the garage with my fellow fragging friends.

Tony, I hope they find that it is nothing too serious for you and your wife and get it sorted out quickly. Same goes for Greg (nephurus) whose wife has strep and Garry who was not able to make it either.

We just got back a little while ago. Brian and I stayed in Greenville overnight and did a little geocaching run before heading back. I'm at work now It raining (still?) in the ATL. I'm so glad the weather co-operated.

Sincere thanks to Tom, Melinda and all who made it possible, once again this year. Always a good time!

Cath - "Oatmeat" - the typo that will live in infamy! I still chuckle about that!

It was nice to see old friends and make some new friends - good food, good folks, good frags - it doesn't get *any* better than that!

I promise I'll post a bit more often - I didn't realize how much I missed this group!

Heh!

I'm juset getting going after the cleanup and sorting frags out and cleaning up the house. I want to personally thank EVERYONE that came to the pig party, especially Jeff, Butch & Di, Jenn and Brian, Seamore (Jose) and Jim and his crew, Michael and Tonya, Simon and his Atl crew, and Dick and all those who all drove those long distances to be here, and in spite of the rain things went superbly. ince both Jeff and Butch decided to split the farthest distance traveled award, I have surprises for both of you. Many, many thanks to the many folks that worked tirelessly behind the secenes to make the pig roast happen, Especially, Cath, my Mom, Alan, everyone that brought frags and misc critters, Bob (who could not make it to be the fireman with the fireworks due to issues that came up at the last minute), and especially Tony and Mel, who without their help getting ready, there would have not been a pig roast nor the goodies to eat and drink with the pig.

I'm sure I have left some folks out that are due a big THANK YOU! as well, but I am brain dead at this point, so my apologies in advance.

I have a few pix from the day before and the morning of the roast, but the day of became such a full court preses that I never saw my camera the entire day!

Those of you thacouldn't make it, you missed a GOOD one!

Pix to follow

Guest of honor getting ready in the bathtub

It's dark outside , but I have to make the doughnuts...

The stage is set, but it's still dark...

Day is starting to break, but some of us are not morning people

We've stacked the wood and started some fire, but suddenly, there's rain...

We took a cover of plywood to cover the fire so the rain wouldn't put it out, but almost too late...

Here I was thinking I would be taking my wife to the emergency room this weekend (she's scheduled for a CT on Monday, they think she may have a Anurism in her brain) and I ended up there somehow... go figure...

Big ouch, Tony! I wish you and your wife the best.

Tom, thank you and Mel again for your hospitality and generosity in providing a bunch of wayward reefers with a grand time. Nice pics of the preamble to the party. Love the one of the Honored Guest in the tub. There's another lady we need to thank and that's your mom, Carolyn. Without her, there would be no TD Wyatt.

Tony, so sorry you and your wife are having a rough time. I hope the drs get everything sorted out and both of you back on the mend.

Dick

Ernest Hemingway paid us a surprise visit. Looks like he was thinking this crazy bunch of characters would make a good novel. Jeff won the trophy for the fartherest distance traveled, edging out Butch by a few miles.

Haha Dick, I've been called worse !

Add me to the list of the ones who made it safely back home (Got in about 5pm my time this afternoon)Think it was 11hrs on the trip home, with 2 pit stops for me and the same for the car's gas tank.

Just want to say i had a great time at Tim and Mel's, and was fun meeting those that attended .I feel that both Dick and I knew each other so well without meeting each other in person(until yesterday), that the in-person just sealed the seemingly last piece of the puzzle. The same goes for Cath,I've known both of them from early on in my time here at TRT, and it took very little "catching up" at Tom's to fill in all the blanks.

A big thanks to Tom and Mel for a great outing , it was worth every mile to get there (and back)

Sorry i missed the fireworks (Cath/Bob,Dick, and Butch and his wife knew the reasons for that) I kept looking in my rear view mirror as i drove away, halfway expecting to see the skies light up in colors and sound .

My apologies to those i did not meet.

It was a perfect time spent with some great people i've been lucky enough to spent time with here online, and YES, we ARE like a family

BTW Dick, nice job with PhotoShop getting my beard extra white
