Trouble with Sequence Dart

I have had this Dart in a closed loop for over a year now(brand new) and it just pooped itself. It started making noise (on and off) then just forze up. I took it apart, checked the impeller,(found nothing remarkable) reinstalled it and plugged it in. It started up fine, nice and quiet. I just checked it after about 2 hours and it is frozen up again.

Ideas???

How is Alex?

On the pump I'd call reeflo they will send out a new one for you - I had to have mine replaced because the bearings froze up or something like that

Have you tried cleaning it with vinegar. It could have some calcium buildup in the bearings. I have this problem with several of my pumps I haven't cleaned in awhile. They run fine for a while but if the power goes out they will not restart and some get stuck until I open them and clean them some.

Not sure you want to clean a dart in vinegar. At least the outside parts... I would take it a part and give it a thorough cleaning. Clean up the impeller and housing with vinegar and then after cleaning the rest of the pump by hand, I would inspect the bearings and fan housing. Make sure that there is adequate clearance and the bearing are smooth. No salt creep building up anywhere etc. If all looks good, reassemble and give it a go. If not, call sequence.

Wow...you remebered Alex!!!!When I get more time on Mar/Ville I will post the latest (Good though)

So the dart I pulled the casing off the impellar but I did not go any further than that. I did not notice anything unusual. I gues I need to go deeper into it huh?
