Trip to Newport Aquarium in KY
Hi everyone, I went to King's Island this weekend for a fun filled, low stress labor day. It was a well needed three day break before the crazy clinical blocks start up.
We stayed in Mason, OH and checked out the local aquarium store in town. Turns out they were moving and marked down all their livestock to 75% off. Too bad they had no reef safe fish left and only a few corals. I picked out a couple things for a few bucks. They had no idea what the first coral is (first picture). The second is a deep sea yellow gorgonian.
Anyone have a thought on what the first coral is?

Just remember: first two pics in last post are from my tank. New corals added from moving sale at local store in Mason, OH visiting on our trip.
All others are from Newport Aquarium in KY. I think their reef is yet to be desired, but all other exhibits were outstanding. They obviously haven't got to clean the glass yet on one of the reef tanks either, but were probably going to that day (I hope).

Sometimes...too bad the LFS didn't have much left. Anyone know what that coral is? They had no idea. Called it an assorted coral.
Anyways, I can't remember what that eel is called exactly. I remember that they live under the sand and stick their heads out when they are searching for prey. I remember the plaque also saying "not a house pet!". LOL.

The first picture looks like an open brain not fully inflated. Hopefully someone else will correct me.

It is a brain but not the standard open type it looks like a standard Lobophyllia.
