What kind specifically?

Either you have a heterotroph, or you have a photoautotroph; hopefully you have the latter.

The christmas tree corals (white body with colored tufts) prefer lower light. if it is shrunken flat and is laying over then try moving it to a lower spot. I did this yesterday to one at the LFS and it popped right back up (within 10 min)

Or no light at all.
Some are collected growing upside down in caves/overhangs with little to no light!

It is common for them to shrink and swell, and wave the top of themselves around in 360 degree type movements, while slightly hanging over, as well as standing completely erect for periods of time.
IME different specimens act differently.

What colour is yours? They are a very cool coral!
