Toxicity of Rubber or PVC cement

Need to repair some plumbing. Can rubber fittings/couplings or pvc cement be toxic to livestock?

If its used correctly, pvc cement will not be toxic to livestock. All of my plumbing in the tank is glued together.

I've used PVC cement and fired the line up on the tank within about 5 minutes and never had an issue.

You sure it is going to hold? Is it the best fix?

Rubber is ok,but if you use ozone it can dry out the rubber over time.

Where are you using rubber at? Just curious, as I've never used it on a reef.
