Toxic Soft Corals?

I have Eric Bornemans book "Corals" and I am reading that many soft corals may be very toxic in a closed system to Acropora and other hard corals. Just to validate what I think I am reading do any of you have experiences in this area? I have soft and hard corals in my system. Here are pics of the soft corals. Should I be concerned that they may negatively impact my SPS corals and (if so) what have you all experienced as negative impacts?

Thanks for any input

I just run carbon once a month or so in my mixed tank to help with cleaning anything out. Supposedly it isnt good for them to be in the same system but i havent noticed any real harm from it with the exception of when contact is made........when that happens the stonies lose.

I have a Softie tank and LPS/SPS tank. The lighting in both is plenty good for SPS.

When a frag breaks in the SPS tank, I often put it in my Softie tank to "see". I have found that some SPS RTN almost instantly when they hit the water, others seem to not mind a bit.

I have not had an issue with any moties yet, but acros are a different matter, about 75% are fine, but others are not. I have yet to have a frag of ANY SPS that's wild cought live for more than 3 hours in there.

Whiskey
