Top off water question


Can i add my top off water to the sump? Hope thats not a dumb question!!!

that's how i add my water. especially if the top off water is fresh. you want the fresh water to mix with the salt before it goes into the display.

No such thing as a dumb question!

The sump is probably the best place to add it. Helps mix with the salt.

Thankx. I'll tell ya, this site has really helped me alot. My tank is really starting to look nice and im getting use to the daily maintenance. As soon as i get some batteries for my digital camera i will thy to post some pics!!

Yep, add it to the sump, preferably into an area with high flow. That will help it to mix quickly and keep sudden salinity changes to a minimum.

I add my to the sump. With an ATO it is a breeze!
