I agree it depends on the purpose the tank was built for. My tank its a German Blue Monti hands down, it's a weed, then it's the other monties and staghorn SPS followed buy a Loco Lobo leather. My GSP and Zoa's never grow.

The tank will have a 4 bulb tek fixture (T5HO) and will be a mixed reef, but mostly softies. The only SPS i will have is probably going to be a birdsnest, monti cap, and maybe some other montis. The rest will be zoas, xenia, gsp, kenya trees and ill have some SPS as well. 55 gallon by the way.

gsp, xenia, and mushrooms. My zoas really don't seem to grow that fast for some reason.

Its wierd i never heard about that until yesterday... Ill deffinetely get some in my next order! Im going for huge colonies here, im going to try and give them a huge amount of space to grow out and see how large of a colony i can get because i like the look of large colonies, i really want a forest of xenia and other large colonies.

Kenya Tree is an absolute weed, make sure your LFS will take them, sometimes they dont really want xeina or kenya tree. zoas, most mushrooms, caps, and most any sps your almost sure to be able to trade in.

They do ive given in xenia frags and i know they take kenya tree frags. Plus i want lots of frags for my biocube, im thinking about having a unique substrate.. Xenia.. It would be cool to have the whole bottom of the tank covered in it.
