Took New Pics Today

Overview

The clown fish have paired up and I have noticed that they "bite" eachother.

The sump is in the basement now.

Blake thats a really sweet setup. The Frogspawn is awesome Any pics of the lighting setup, the bowfronts are challenging to light well. The lines thru the floor look really clean

Hey Blake;

You're clowns look cute in there

You might want to put a small powerhead down towards the bottom of the tank to get some more flow along the top of the subtrate, will help clean that up.

Having the sump in the basement must be great! So much quieter; what kind of return pump are you using?

Here is the return going through the floor. Thank my dad for making a slit in the carpeting and drilling the floor. When we move in March all we have to do it take the PVC out and the slit in the carpeting will close up.

The return pump is a Gen-X/MAK4. Excellent pump BTW. It has to pump water up 9-10feet in 3/4" PVC. I estimate that it is doing about 400-500 GPH. I'm a big fan of using reinforced flex tubing and lots of hose clamps. It makes cleaning the impeller and hoses of buildup very easy.

The intake for the pump is a U made from PVC. I didn't want to drill the tank. The only difficulty I ran into is priming the pump. Other that that I have had no probelms with a U intake. You can see the intake in the right of the picture (in the sump).
