too much foam
tank is doing great...but...
every ten minutes the skimmer (ev200) makes so much foam it starts to expand out of the top of the air holes eventually blocking them causing the foam tower to fall back down. it stops skimming til i clean it. the problem is that the foam is so thick it's not turning to liquid. i've adjusted the water levels but it doesnt matter, still makes the same foam. I don't have time to be down there every 20 minutes!
weird, hopefully it will calm down. numbers still the same, ammonia and nitrates still around 0.5.
life in the tank is awesome. mantis all over peeking their heads out from not in, but under (lol) my biggest base rocks. i set traps but no luck yet. I can now tell (i firmly believe) the difference between clicks of pistols and mantis. i dont know what they could be eating because i see 10% more life and growth in the tank every day. they have to be starving.
