Too Many Pods and Starfish?

Can you have too many pods in your tank?
I have a nine gallon nano that is just filled with them. There are also a lot of the little, white, 5 legged starfish in it.
I know this is a good sign of a healthy tank but, can there be too many in a tank? I don't have any fish in the tank; only hermits and snails.

any corals in the tank? some of those small stars eat corals, but other than that, i would think it means you have alot of stuff for everything to eat. which might be an early indicator. but if not, they should level out.

most people will get a huge bloom of pods within the first year of setting up a tank. over time they will start to dissappear as food become less abundant. they will find thier balance eventually.
