it could take a couple of weeks depending on how ticked off it is.........usually not more than a few days but i wouldnt worry about it for at least a week....

if its already starting to show signs of opening hes fine

I have had toad stools open right away, and I have had them take a week to really open up.

Got a pic?

Looks like he is sheading, give him time and he will be back to full glory I bet.

They like flow (helps them shed) and light too, can you put him up in the rock?

No worries, it is harmless.

They can be on the bottom, but if he keeps moving around down there like you described he won't like it much.
