To Whom It May Concern...
First of all, let me say that reports of my leaving the hobby have been greatly exaggerated. Secondly, I appreciate all of the pms and emails expressing concern as to my whereabouts (at least, postwise anyway).
So for those who haven't heard, my tank suffered a major crash last spring, taking out everything except the fish, a few Acanths, two Cyphastrea, and a small Pavona. After removing all the dead stuff, I took the summer off and had my service tech change the water, feed the fish, and perform the basic husbandry. I am now in the process of rebuilding; replacing about 75% of the live rock while creating a much more 'open' aquascape. Obviously, given a 500g tank full of fish, this will be a pretty long and drawn out process. But I AM chronicling everything and will be back among the land of the living as soon as possible.
Again, I want to thank everyone for their concern.

I am extremely  sorry for your lost and im sure that you are by now on the road from recovery and had made some minor changes to what you might feel be best needed for as large a system as you must have. |

I heard about your crash, I'm really sorry that beutifull tank of yours went downhill
I'm glad your back with us though! I hope the rebuild does great things for you, and I know in time it will be back and better than it was

Glad to see that you are rebuilding!
I heard a rumor about a crash in June or July, and like everyone else I am very sorry for the losses you sustained.

What can I say, been there done that, its a PITA but for a hard core reef adict its just a speed bump, hoping to see the new build soonest

member of the i hate fpl(florida power and light) club beacuse the just jacked up my light bill by 18% club and they made me get rid of my wifes reef tank causing mass comotion in my household.

Par overdose when I changed lighting systems. Even though I THOUGHT I had ramped up the new lights slowly and carefully enough, I obviously didn't as they soon bleached then killed a few of the uppermost acros. Once the necrotic tissue spread throughout the tank, that was pretty much all she wrote.
