To be Skimming

Hi again. I have my tank up with water in it and lights on!! . Went with a 38 gallon. I am using a proclear 75 with prefilter and a 380gph rated return pump. As soon as I get my cam working I will do pics. It seems you guys love them..
My question is.. for this tank what kind of skimmer should I consider? I read in an earlier posting about over skimming and don't want to do that. I have a budget for a $150USD skimmer.

Other question I have is coral placement and compatability. Is there a book or weblink that would have a chart showing these 2 things. My lighting is only a coral life 192watt. This is a 38 gallon TALL it is sitting over. So I want to be sure about placement and would like some education on mixing some softies.
Thanks

Look at the Aqua C urchin pro

How tall is a 38 tall? Your PC lighting aought to support most of the easy to keep soft corals and LPS like Hammer, torch, trumpet corals. Most of the shrooms, star polyps and the like should do fine as well as the common octocorals

As always prepurchase research is essential

I am not the best with doit yourself projects But worth a look when the cost on that one is $60 and the Aqua C i was recommended is $226.

Hey Doug my tank is 18 inches tall I believe.
ski1297 what are u using in your 38 gallon for water movement? One of my concerns with a tank like this is dead spots.

That Aqua C urchin pro looks like a reasonable skimmer. Everyone here as told me to not skimp on the skimmer so I wanted to be sure I got a good one.

$150 for a skimmer = E-bay cause any good skimmer would be used on ebay for that little and that would be a Remora Aqua C Pro or a Coralife skimmer,
