I used a kiddie pool to cure my LR but I have always cure 150lbs plus at a time. I used a sump pump hooked to some PVC pipe to create a circular water flow. Every other days I removed the LR and scrubbed off the dead stuff and do a water change to keep my ammonia low. I believe in water changes when curing LR to keep as much alive as possible. When my ammonia bottomed out at zero and my other parameters were in line my rock was ready. You can always tell by the smell. If its ready it will smell like the oceanin stead of an out house.

a big ole trash can and some powerheads will do it just fine, if you can fit a skimmer in there somewhere it would be great, but i think it would cure just fine without it. are you curing it so you can put it in an existing tank?

If youre gonna cu re it, may as well do it in the dark to get more of the "cooking" deal going on.
