Question

TIny things

Hi TRTM! Last Night I was watching my fish and noticed very little circles (double the size of a dot (.) - with tenicales on them! They are all over the glass.. I would say about 50 or more. I was trying to figure out what these are and then noticed a small white star fish thing moving on the rocks! it was about |<->| yahh big. It had tenicales.. i couldnt get a picture of it cause it vanished into the rocks. Next time i will try and get a picture of it. But heres my problem. I am getting brown algae on the glass. Its basically taken over half the front. I usually wash it with a scrubber but now that the little things are on there I dont know what to do.. any advice on what i should do? What are these things? should I scrub them off with the algae as well? Thanks Ill try and post a picture once that thing pops up.. thanks!!!

Sounds like you have "pods" ..copods.. dont worry about hurting them. seeing them is a good thing. and what you see withthe lights on is only a very small amount that are in your tank. they like the night..

here is some good reading on them..
