time to get serious


ok iam in the planning stages of my real tank


this question is about what else lighting

i want to keep softies and maybe lps.

my choices are vho or cp

tank will be either a 55, 72bow, or 65 (36x18x24)

dont want to spend more then 250

i have looked at a few in this price range puts me around 350 watts

is this reasonable or am i kidding myself

suggestions appreciated

anyone have a scwd do they work well and are they submersible

That is plenty of light for what you want to keep. You know more is better, but not necessary.

I've seen them in use and I just bought one. They seem to work really well. Max pressure is 1400 GPH and the higher the pressure the faster they switch from one side to the other. They can be mounted in or out of the water as they are sealed. I'm going to mount mine above the tank with either a Mag 5 or Mag 12 and have 2 - 1/2" Loc line splits on each end of the return.

i was thinking about a 1000 gallon return on a spray bar and useing one to change which side is blowing out

hello lights has some nice deals thanks for tip now just need to pick the tank
