Tiger tail cuc


How many tiger tail cucumbers are goo to keep in a 180 gallon will one suffice or are two better?

what do you have on your bottom? if it is a BB than i would only say 2. if you have a good sand bed than i would easily double that.

how big do these get ? and how long does it take them to reach that size ?

on the marinedepotlive site it reads: up to 24 inches. i can't imagine having two or more of that im my tank

I've had mine for over a year and they are...6 inches a piece, maybe.

I'd love to see a 2 foot specimen, though!!

I have 1 in my 55 gall and he has just about completed a turnover of the the whole tank sandbed. In total that would be about 4 weeks, would be my guess. So for a 180 gall tank 2 sounds good - should turn over the sandbed once a month?

Sorry - should qualify - only the superficial layer. By rough eyeballing he has just about covered all the available sand area once.
