Three fish for the price of one.

A few weeks ago I bought a Lawn Mower Blennie. {Salarias fasciatus} I knew he would be happy in my tank. He quickley dug a hole under one of my rocks and hid for three days. He started making apperiances every now and then. Thenb one morning I turned on the lights and there was a diffrent Blennie in the tank. Still a lawn mower but this one was almost white. So I took a picture of him.Click image for larger version

When I got home from work a diffrent blennie had showed up. This one was very dark. So I took a picture of him.Click image for larger version

Are you sure that it is 3 different fish? The lawn mowers change color so taht they can blend in with their surroundings. Are you sure that you are seeing different fish and not just color morphs?

By the way, congrats on the new addition. One of the best things about having a lawn mower, is the kiss marks on the glass

My Sailfin does the same thing, his color can change from compleatly white to very dark in less than a second. It is very cool to watch.

I have not seen him morph fast but I have seen him half and half. He might have been laying on the sand and rock at the same time.

LOL! Makes a good story even if it is the same fish!

The LMB I had was one of my favorite fish. What a guy.
