Thoughts on T5 lighting.

I've been out of the hobby for several months and I'm starting up a 3 gallon nano tank and planning to keep easy zoanthid corals and calurpa algea.
I have a 3 gallon eclipse system which has a small 6 watt T5 bulb in it. I'm wondering if this will be enough to keep the zoa's and calurpa alive.
Any thoughts on this?

t5's can put out alot of par, not sure about that specific one, but its worth a shot, should support the lower light corals pretty well, zoo's, mushrooms, green star polyps and such.

I don't think so,... T5's are powerfull bulbs, but that is only 6W of light, once you punch through the water's surface, and deal with going through the water there's not much left.

This is one of the reasons why W/G rule falls apart with larger and smaller tanks,... regardless of the tank size you need to hit a certin threshold of light for the corals to be able to use it.

I would only try if you have another tank you can move them back to if it doesn't work out.
