Thought I'd share some new pics over here as well.

Picked up this nice lavendar/purple tipped frag last weekend at CBA.

One of the completely brown colonies that continues to turn more blue.

And, my 30 softie/lps cube that I set up a few weeks ago is coming along. No skimmer, no sump and barebottom.

Very nice pictures. I hope my tank will look something like that one day.

Beautiful! That brown colony was a real score. Congrats!

Jon, what color is that ricordia in the lower right of your softie tank? It looks pink and purple - I've been looking for one that color. Where'd you find it?

Yes, all the pics were taken at night - they were looking for food ;-)

The brown colonies for $25 were a deal - I wish I would've bought more. Since I've been wet skimming (skimmate = about 2 gallons/week), my phosphates and nitrates have been ultra low - it never was detectable before, but the reason I know they're even lower is that my chaeto does not grow even with an 18 hour light cycle. Since then, several of my sps have changed colors and have become much more vibrant.

I got the ricordea from Dale. It's more of an orange - the actinics (120W worth) along with the fact that it was partially closed (night) makes it look more purple.

Thank you everyone!

Also, look how fast the corraline algae is growing on the caribsea base rock (right hand side).

That is breath taking! On your 30, what lights do you have on it? I am still deciding if I want to make the 75 an SPS, and the 30 a softies, or vice versa.

Everything you have shown is looking awesome!

My 30 has a 96W coralife fixture with a 50/50 bulb and a CSL 80W fixture with two actinic bulbs, for a total of 176W (128W Actinic, 48W Daylight). In a lagoonal tank, I figure a lot of actinic is ideal - plus, it helps intensify the colors.
