This thing bit me

I was moving some stuff around in my tank to get a rock of zoos that I am trading to someone and I heard a tick and felt something hit my finger. After I set the rock down I waited and whatched and this little dude stuck his head out of a small hole. I pulled the rock out and stuck a small screw driver in the hole and I heard the same tic sound and he popped out. It is dead now, but just wondering what the heck it was. It was about an inch long and a quarter inch around.

I wonder if he got you with any of his slow-acting venom.

I'm kidding!

They're supposed to be able to break the glass of a glass tank! There are people out there who devote whole tanks to them though - they are apparently pretty smart....
