Thinking Ahead of Myself ..Again!

When i first started my marine tank my ultimate goal was to be able to care for an anemone called a ritteri (heteractis magnifica) which i think is a stunning creature, after plenty of research i've realised that my dream is way out of my league specially with my smallish tank and my lack of knowledge

Dont get me wrong i know it'll be at least a year till i can even keep any sort of nem/coral but ( i really have the patience to wait) but i've now found a coral that is just as nice as a nem. a torch coral

Is a torch coral still out of the question with a 60+ usg tank? will i be wasting my time researching about these guys if my tank is not suitable?

What do you think?

TIA

Matt

I have a torch in a 15 gallon nano tank, as well as a frogspawn, they are doing GREAT. Torch corals are really not all that hard to keep, provided you get a healthy coral to begin with, I think if you spend your time on reading, get the right equiptment (lighting mainly), and do your testing and matinince, you will be fine.

yea, an H. magnifica can pretty big, it would just fill up that tank.

most of the stoney corals will be fine in that sized tank, at least for a while. they are slower growing.

what is your lighting again?
