Thinking about Upgrading
Hello everyone, I am thinking about upgrading my 50gal to a 72gal bowfront tank. Really the only thing that is stopping me from doing this right now is buying new lights. I am trying to find cheap good lights, (arn't we all) lol. I live in Canada but have access to a US Postal address. I was looking on ebay and found these lights i may be interested.
The tank demensions are 48L X 18W X 22H.
The tank with stand is 309.09 with tax
what do you think of these lights?

Thanks
Tim

Looks like a great light,.. but I know nothing about the MFG,.. if it is a quality fixture I'm sure it will do quite well for you.
One thing I might mention is that I don't personally like bow fronts,.. and using that light, for about the same tank cost,.. you could have a reef ready 120G which is my Fav size.

Yikes, that's expensive! Have you considered a regular 75 gallon aqauarium? It's easier to light since it's a rectangle and it goes for about $250 US.

A 120G (24*24*48) that's reef ready goes for about $500 USD.

That's what I don't like about them too.

Im with wiskey on this one... even with the exchange rate that seems steep. My girl and I just bought a custom 120 (24x24x48) with two drilled bulkheads and cover (no stand) for somewhere in the $300us range. (Too bad it is for her red ear slider and not for a reef!)
Actually, it is going to be a pretty rippin turtle tank...

ok, here is a delema, I like the lights I previously posted but then thought that the tank is only 12" wide and the light is 15" wide. Any suggestions on searching for a light that is 48" X 12W?
