the wait it killing me.


5 1/2 hours to go until i pick up my lr and ls at the airport,woohaaa,i cant wait.it 5:30am now and i couldnt sleep past 4:.just woke up, o well.
on the other two tanks that i said no more fish for a month,i have a Q. tanks are covered in algae,glass is getting bad.can i get snails or something else that wont strain the bio-load on the new tanks.thank you.

P.S. i am still holding true to our fish deal.

If your ammonia and nitrites are 0, and nitrates less than 10, it is safe to add snails....IF you keep in mind that if you have water quaity issues and one of the snails dies, you may have even bigger problems on your hands. Make sure you acclimate the snails carefully. I like Trochus, Margarita, Nerites, Stromus, Nassarius (detritus eaters), etc. Check out www.ipsf.com or www.premiumaquatics.com for a good selection.

If the tanks are fully cycled, snails would be good and won't really affect your bioload helping with algae and detritus control. For a good article on which ones to get, see: http://www.animalnetwork.com/fish/li...=&RecordNo=166
Bear in mind that if you ever put any medication in the Quarantine tank, especially anything with Copper in it, they will die.
