Actually that is higher than where I live too I'm only at about 6000 at my house, but I had to poke a little fun I'm not sure what the upper elevation is at where I normally or used to normally go.
Edit: OK Snowmass is 12,510 and A-basin is 13,050

I took a picture for Tim, so I thought I'd share. It's a blue ridge coral that someone gave me about a year ago, and it's been abused quite a bit. I don't think it's grown much, but it's moved what seems like once a month and has always been at the bottom of my tank. I should stick it somewhere to see how it does, but I'm just too lazy.
And also, I've a frag swap coming up, so I've established a sweet, classy frag rack. I really need a frag tank.
Hopefully I can get some cash for the tank to add a MH fixture to the sump, so that I can get the frag rack out of sight.

That's pretty funky looking! Not sure I've seen anything like it up until now. So who takes care of your tank when you are out of town?

Doesnt take much to take care of... my wife feeds the fish, and she knows how to clean the skimmer cup if needed. I can walk away for a week and, assuming their's no hardware failure (failed solenoid in the topoff, failed lights, etc), not have to touch anything as long as the auto feeder is setup. I don't travel that often, though, so it's usually not an issue. I do a water change every 2 or 3 weeks now, and I'm very pleased with the relative light amount of care that's needed these days. I hope it keeps up!!
I think that coral is considered an LPS coral... it's not really a stony. I don't know much about it, though.

Good thing he doesn't have a significant other.... Otherwise that person might get mad about the dingy Mrs. Hop calling about reef stuff

Yes and kind of... He stops buy every few months, but he is on reef central every day. He just became the editor of reefkeeping magazine, so I don't expect to see him as often anymore

I'm out of town on a regular basis, but usually just a couple days here and there...no big deal. However, my girl and I went to Europe for 2 and a half weeks over Christmas/New Years...so I had to ask her brother to mind the tank. I can only tell you that I never in my right mind anticipated how much stress that caused me...and it was my vacation for crying out loud! lol Good news all was fine upon return, just some seriously dirty glass.

Interesting, I just emailed him the other day for some advice. His website has been an awesome resource!

Alright, after dialing the reactor way up, my water chemistry is proving to stay right where it wants. Alk ~9dkh, with Calc ~350ppm. I don't know that I'm going to bother trying to do much more... maybe dial up the flow a little through the reactor. Stuff is still doing alright, though, so I'm not overly worried about it.

First, the goods. We had a frag swap yesterday, and I only got one thing. I sold a bunch, which was nice, but I picked up a fire and ice digitata. Whitish/pale with red polyps.
I hope it grows out well. I don't think I've ever grabbed a picture of this, either. It's a small piece of rainbow monti LE. It's started to encrust a little, which I'm pretty excited about. Hopefully it will keep it up. Not a great picture, but it's what I got.
But it's not encrusting quite as well as the other rainbow monti I've got. Today, and exactly a month ago.
And while I was in the tank, I snapped a few top down photos.
Next I hope to add a MH fixture to the sump to grow out frags a little more, as I'd like the tank to start paying for itself a little. We'll see how it goes, and I'll be sure to post some photos. And feel free to checkout my birdsnest growth thread if you've not, I was able to take a few shots this afternoon.
