I don't usually have some many updates, but I've been selling quite a few frags lately, so I keep getting my hands wet. And when that happens, I notice stuff. Today I was able to catch the evil hermit who I suspect is trying to catch fish as they sleep (I'm noticing some shredded dorsal fins, and he's the only capable inhabitant in the display). So he's been relegated to the sump.
And in doing so, I noticed a few things. First, a tiny snail. I presume it's not the little one's that come out at night and cover the display glass, as this is quite a bit darker, but it could be. Anyways, it was neat to find down there, hopefully they'll continue to propagate.
And also, the poccilipora continues it's quest at manifest destiny. Today, I found a number of buds on the back wall of the sump. Here's one of three that were easily visibile, but I presume there are more.
So the sump is quickly become the most interesting part of the tank in terms of unknown and unusual surprises.

Sorry, I misunderstood then. You said Zebra jawfish back on page #186. I asked because I never heard of a Zebra jawfish and thought you might have something unusual. I'm a big jawfish fan!

Yes, but you are still pracitcally neighbors as I understand the neighborhoods in Texas are really big as well.
Chris, just how big is that hermit crab anyway? Of course it is hard to tell from the picture, but that looks like a mean set of claws on him, almost ready to serve with drawn butter.
I can only hope that someday my Pocillipora will grow up and decide to drop "turds" all over in my system. That is way too cool.

A good 2", maybe more, for that shell. Way too big to be a pleasant inhabitant in the display!

So, your regulator reads zero on your CO2 tank, and the pH has gone up. What's the logical conclusion? The CO2 bottle is empty. Well I opened the valve a little more and CO2 starts flowing, so without otherwise considering alternatives (such as remnants of CO2 in the bottle flowing when the valve opens more), I figured my regulator was broken. Well, I'm an idiot. Turns out I was just out of CO2, and I refilled it a few days ago. The alk and calc are at 7.4dkh and 370ppm today, so I couldnt have hurt too much (that's the normal levels for my setup).
But, as you had to suffer through all the words, I leave you with a picture.

Ao, am I too understand that you refilled the tank and brought it home but did not turn it on?
The picture is awesome and should make most people forget about the words.

That is a great pic! I'm so envious of people who can get good reflection pics. My tank just isn't meant for it.

Great pic! Beautiful corals! They all seem to have really good polyp extension. Looks like a very healthy tank!

No, I was just stupid and figured it was a regulator problem. Once I filled it, I was able to get it right back on.

Okay, I was just a little confused by the words while looking at the picture.
