Good read, Tony, thanks for that link. I think I am going to try another bulb, but not until I sell a number of the frags down there. I seem to be collecting more in the grow out than I sell, so I suppose I'll have to ax that habit.
Second note, there seems to be a rogue crab in my tank who likes to take pieces of fins off my fish. I'm quite certain I know which hermit is doing it, as there's only one large sucker in the tank, but today he's eluded my capture. Next time he's vulnerable and I'm watching, he's out (he was way in the back and wise to my clamp, so I couldnt snag him today).
Thirdly, I just got 101 top-down pictures off my camera, so prepare yourself for visual delight. I have to go edit and upload them, but they'll be up in a bit. You better leave good comments for all the effort I'm putting into them!

So to begin. I took these with the 100mm macro lens, cropped them, and then used the auto levels feature in photoshop (just to bring out a little more from the picture). The problem is that I have to move my lights to get top-downs, and that sheilds a bit of the yellower bulbs, but oh well. I like taking pictures all the same. Of the 100 shots tonight, I'll share 15 or so. There were a few more decent ones, but they seemed a bit repetitive. First set, zoanthids. This is an Amy special that she sent, I'm pretty sure. It had just 2 polyps of each of these when I first got it.
And these came from Eric. Not as great a picture as some of the others, but I like them so you'll just have to deal with it.
These next two sets of zoanthids I got from some dude who was clearing out his tank. I like them both.

5 polyps each, shipped to Jacksonville
Those are awesome shots, and good looking zooanthids.

Next set is the branching corals. First, a slimer picture that I really liked. This one was not cropped, so I was amazed at how close up it is.
And then a pair of millis. First a pink, then the green hairy.
And the birdsnest that I have a growth thread about

A couple of inverts made the list. First the newer crocea clam that I've got... this picture is well more than life size on your screen.
The anemone crab, which is a frequent subject of my camera.
And the fromia star, which wasnt in a great place for a picture.

Last set is a couple montis and the favia to begin. This favia has done quite well for me, and I'm rather pleased with the impulse purchase.
This red monti is encrusting anything it can, too. It's starting to overtake a tricolor and the big birdsnest, but I'm fine with that as it's a nice piece.
And this monti I could take pictures of all day long.
So that's it. Enjoy.

Quit being a frag hog Randy.
Just in case you are thinking about fragging some of those Chris, please keep me in mind as well.

Great photos! Love the Christmas Favia and the Fromia. I'm a big invert fan so anything about starfish or unusual critters excites me!
