Thanks! You'll have to let me know when you're in need of some frags. I'm sure I'll have plenty to spare in a couple months.

That is the very common bali green slimer, or more specifically Acropora yongei. I do very much like staghorns, and while it's not my favorite coral, I'm glad it's the centerpiece of the tank.

Great updated shots Chris. It looks like it would be well worth the drive from SC.

I just stuck my head in the sump, and I was suprised to see a bunch of Neomeris annulata (the green things stuck to the wall). I've had these grow in the display before, but never in this abundance. And never you mind the need to siphon, I know it already!
And a picture of the frags growing out next door.

NO, what is that, some sort of sleighted comment? Are you harping on me for not getting a FTS? I only had the macro lens out today, and I don't have enough room to get a FTS with that lens.

Chris, I don't know about Chris but I have a 150mh pendant that I ran on my 12G tank for about a week to see what effect it would have on the temperature and with it sitting about 6" off the water, I didn't see any noticeable heat difference. Maybe 1 degree.

no added heat noticed. The tank stays about 2 degrees above ambient house temp. I run a fan blowing out of the stand to remove moisture, but that was there before the MH pendant. I also run two canopy fans that come on with the T5 bulbs, and they're programmed to come on when the tank gets over 79 degrees, but usually they're off at night (when the sump light is on).
So, no active cooling for the MH pendant over the sump.
