my brand new AGA 180 RR tank to join the Build-off. I go to pick it up this afternoon from there it will rest in my garage for quite awhile as my planning and budget allows. Nothing will be skimped on with this tank. It will not see a drop of water until it is absolutely perfect and complete, to my and TRT standards

There really isn't a standard. All you need is a few things to get started. Every setup is different and you can always add as you go. The Main thing is location of the tank, accesories and how accessable it is to maintain. I look forward to your thread.

Kewl beans Jeremy, looking forward to your build.
My best advice to you would be to decide what types of coral and fish you must have, research compatibility issues then research optimum environment to support whatever you decide on. Trust me changing mind half way thru gets expensive
