What is all that SCRIBBLE underneath the plumbing????
It looks good so far, but I would think you'd want the T2 as opposed to the T1 Velocity pumps...
| Model # | Flow Rate (GPH @ 3') | Price | | Velocity T1 | 540 | $149.95 | | Velocity T2 | 650 | $149.95 | | Velocity T3 | 800 | $159.95 | | Velocity T4 | 1225 | $159.95 |

i plan on putting eductors on the ends of those CLS's. i was thinking i can get better performance out of the T1 with the eductors instead of the T2's. the T1's can handle 28' of head pressure, while the T2's can only handle 18' of head pressure.

ok, some more updates. it is almost starting to look like a tank! if the tank was the only part of the equation than i could theoretically be able to put water in it. unfortunately that is not the case. i still have the entire sump area to finish plumbing and build.
here is a pic showing what the seams look like now after i camoed them. i used a guey mix of sillycone and southdown. as you can see the sillycone does not affect the colour of the Southdown like the epoxy did. the front of the tank and the back of the tank used different techniques. in the front i just laid a massive bead of sillycone along the seam. i then spread it around all over the seam making an ugly guey lumpy area. i then dumped Southdown all over the area and pressed it into the sillycone using a paper towel. i dumped a good thck layer of Southdown over the wet sillycone. that way i would not touch the sillycone with the paper towel and cause it to stick.
this is the same seam before.
here is a shot showing the final plumbing of the CLS's. all that is left to do is run the return from the sump. still playing with various methods of delivery into the tank. maybe a Sea Swirl, maybe an Oceanmotions, maybe just an eductor. hard to tell.
ok, once again it is audience participation time. what do you all think about this aquascaping? if you would like different look at something let me know. behind those mounds it is completely open. there is not any support structure at all besides the LR. it is build up like an igloo. when i finalize the LR i will pour some of the Southdown epoxy mix along some of the joints and lock them into place. the center pillar has already been done and is solid. i am able to change the aquascaping except for the center pillar and the placement of the bottom coarse of LR. other than that i am open to ideas.
thanks,
G~

I* just read this...Awsome.
A few things long passed in conversation.
As far as the woodstove Geoff its entirely possible. You can buy quality woodstoves with blowers or carbs. Or an older cast iron one with french doors for pretty cheap at most flea markets. Then its just a matter of getting the metal tubing and running it the full length of the chimney. About a day or sos work. Though the heat might be different.
Second....Aboutt the wood floors. You can get wood floors
cheap at many action houses. Also look around an older but lower quality part of town. In condemed houses or ones soon to be demolished, you can scrap the wood floors out. I work in renovating old houses. We scrapped enoulf wood flooring for roughly 4 thousand square feet from abandoned places. We asked the owners of course.
And finally Changing oil at night itsnt unheard of. Sometimes ill be in bed and start thinking of how many miles the cars been driven. Thankfully our walmart is 24 hour. Gwen, rednecks change oil at all times of the day. lol

Heh! ...was that in THIS thread???
Heck Gwen, I'll have to get you up here one evening to change out my differential oil, I have a 14 mm stubby allen wrench that will just fit between the spare tire sheetmetal from the trunk and the drain plug for the diff, along with 2 quarts of Redline 70W-90 and a viscous oil pump just begging for the touch of a newbie to German maintenance...
I'll even have the car jacked up for ya...

Thank you for all of the help!! i know some of you that have helped frequent here more so i wanted to double post to make sure i thanked everyone.
this is the aquascaping i have decided on.
Mr Phallic is a little limp, but not obscene.
i also accentuated the ravine on the right by adding more LR to the front left edge of the right mound. do not know if you can see that in this pic or not.
i will now epoxy a few strategic rocks together to solidify the structure and call it good.
thanks again for all of the help. it is good to get a few more eyes on something.
