The real Finding Nemo tank

The Real Finding Nemo Aquarium

I was thinking of sending this to Tetra or putting it here on TRT:

One 55g aquarium kit-$350

Includes: Kit includes: 55-gallon Eclipse Show Glass aquarium with lighted canopy, Emperor 400 Filtration System, 200-watt aquarium heater, digital thermometer, hydrometer, fasTest Master Test Kit, saltwater conditioner, Instant Ocean Synthetic Aquarium Salt and complete instruction book.

80 lbs of reef grade sand $70

One 45lb box of Fiji live rock:$130

CPR BakPak2 skimmer: $130

RO unit or purchase RO water from a local source

Fish inhabitants can include:

2 clownfish $30
1 royal gramma $15
1 hippo tang $20
2 Cleaner shrimp $45

Clean-up crew $130

Total--$875

This does not include the costs for water, more salt, food, replacement filters and other incidentals.

Is there anything I forgot?? I figure if nothing else we can post this here on TRT, update our meta tags with finding nemo and see if we get any bites

Looks good but a 55 is still to small for a hippo tang imo.

Maybe so but at least it'll open the eyes of parents that want to buy their kids a Nemo cause they're cute.

I like it Brooke.

Dave..I agree as well...but it is certainly more appropriate than the 5g that the T*tra people were recommending.

Yes, Brooke -- send it on. And our hippo is 4+ yrs old and uses all the 120's 4ft length -- wish it were longer. But, your point is so well made.

I'm sick of seeing little clowns and little hippos in our local Pet Supplies store with "Here's NEMO" scrawled across the tank glass.

Yep... I forgot the stand and powerheads. That'll make it a grand for sure. I'm working on an article to go with it. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Not to mention time to set up. As to T*tra can do it in 5 minutes were as it should take at least 2 months. This is for the not so instant Nemo tank.
