I know that it is a real pain to change my DE bulbs. Imagine having no electrical connection to worry about corroding and just getting stuck!

Thats too cool! Probably take a few years to get out to the public in a retail mode though. The energy savings would be great!

he said it dont use any electric ?! thats low !
check Fosters&Smith there already selling LED lights that can support soft & LPS corals..this should pave the way for SPS reefing..also 8k is not that bad..still good coral growth with that..anyway..just the idea that theres no fire risking heat..no electric usage & enough light to power a coral reef all in a 1/2 inch bulb is amazing

It doent use lectric conections. Still uses electricity.
