The everything monitor...
I'm Looking for a monitoring system that will monitor just about every reef parameter you can think of. From my tank's mechanics, to my water quality, I have been doing some research but thought i would throw this out there and see what kind of products you all may know of. Thxs

The only peramiters that can be reliably monitored like that are PH, ORP, and maybe Salinity, they did come out with a CA monitor, but I have heard nothing but terrible reviews.
Some of the Controlers will do allot of cool stuff, alow you to monitor what can be online, change lighting times remotely, switch stuff on and off etc, but nothing is out there to monitor everything.
I wish something like that existed though,

Ok so the monitors that keep track of temp, ph, orp, etc.. does anyone here have one, what do you like and dislike,? is it worth it? Your opinion... the best one is? See im looking to buy one but im a college student so 300$-800$ is a lot of money (for anyone for that matter) so i want to make sure im getting the most out of what i recieve and i have found plenty on the market, so the research and comparison into each one can be a little overwhelming

I did all the research and ended up with the Neptune Systems AquaController III. It connects to the PC via Ethernet and uses a data logging program called Aquanotes. The other MAJOR important factor was that it could use 2 Ph probes. One for the tank, and one for the CA reactor. It'll use X10 devices, but I used all direct connect points. Other than some initial software problems with Aquanotes, that the company worked out, I love this thing!

I have an aquatronica controller. It will monitor temp, ph, orp, salinity and in the future they will be adding a ca monitor. It will also controll lights (also shut off if temp gets to high), powerheads (wave or tide timer) ozone, ca reactor (through ph) auto top off. This fall they are coming out with the web stuff so you can check on your tank and change settings in the controller though the internet. Light diming for a true dusk/dawn effect.

Ya it is pretty nice, I am pretty sure they were the first ones to do the power strip over the X-10s also and you can daisy chain them to have up to 144 plugs and monitor mutiple tanks/systems
