The ever present lighting wattage ??

I have a ballast and fixture that says 70 watts, the bulb from what I can find is 6500k What would be the result if I put a 100watt 10000k bulb in? Would it light? would it break something, less par same k ?? anybody know?

Don't think it will light the bulb.

not enough power in the ballast to fire up the bulb. you would overheat and destroy the ballast if it were to fire. it would be pushing itself beyond its limit.
