the digging has stopped

my pair of percs were constantly digging in the sand and making craters at night. i have an halemedia plant that is growing very well (and fast) and lately the percs seem to be playing in part of it. it hangs down over the edge of the rocks and thats where they hang out. ever since they took up this spot they quit digging huge holes in the sand almost like its there host. has anybody seen clowns take a plant as a host? they also chase other fish away from this particular spot.

It sounds like they have finally decided on a territory and are staking it out. They may be "hosting" with the Halimeda or they may have just decided that the little overhang is going to be a great spot to lay their eggs. I've had clowns host with Feather Dusters so I don't think the plant is out of the question.

Hey karlas! Nice pic of the plant and checked out your other pics of your tank and it looks very nice! I agree with Alice and her comments as well! I have a pair of maroon clownfish who have adopted a flowerpot as it's host. Johnny
