Thanks all

Hi everyone. I just wanted to say thanks. I've learned so much from this board and you supply me with an endless source of learning when I can't sleep. About a week ago I posted looking for help with dying corals. I ended up having a problem with pH (7.8) and my alk (4 kdh) was low. Now, my pH is around 8.2 and alk is between 9 and 10 kdh. The sps has stopped dying and is actually starting to grow. This is a first and I'm really excited.

Thanks all.

A side question: I have green star polyps which don't extend as far as they used too. The ends are slightly curled up, but it is growing over my rock like mad. Its almost doubled in size.

Anyone else experience this??

One clump of button polyps did something similar to that. I never figured out what did it. I checked EVERYTHING down to stray voltage. Nothing. All I can guess is that something stomped on them and made them REALLY mad. They seem to be making a good comeback now though.
