Thank You Alice
Hi, everyone. Sorry about the 'plugs' in advance of much board participation. Not intended to offend anyone. I try to reply to posts when I think I can help/contribute.
Thank you, Alice, for your reply as it provides me with some sense of how the 'moderators' are thinking and what the boundries are in terms of 'advertising' on this board. We won't be placing any info. about our business whatsoever on this board as it seems to cause an unintended adverse reaction with moderators and (especially) sponsors. This is understandable since advertising costs money that customers end up paying for.
Our 'idea' was to increase traffic to our site by letting people know we exist. We did not want to spend tons of money on advertising and in turn have to pass these costs on to customers. I've sent Emails to this board asking for information on how to pay to advertise but received no reply. Also, we do not ask customers
for 'testamonials' or for anyone to comment about our company. Any client comment is entirely a private/personal decision.
Anyway, please accept my sincere apologies for whatever it is I've done to offend the moderators/sponsors/members of this board!
Our tiny company was established out of passion for the hobby and a sincere desire to increase the availablitity of captive raised livestock. We run our business out of our home, we have one part-time employee, and operate at a significant loss every month. Fortunately, we have sufficient other financial resources to stay alive and we are here to stay. Eventually sales should at least keep us even without compromising quality or increasing prices.
We are in no way a threat to any other farmers/importers/retailers. In fact, we send many potential customers to other farmers, often times ones who 'sponsor' this board! To put it simply, we support captive raised livestock and those who raise these wonderful animals! We admire and respect reef keepers and those well established in captive propagation.
We intend to remain humble and personable and avoid the all too common problems of the reef 'elite'. Arrogance, greed, and back stabbing in the reef aquarium industry are killing it and driving many people to hobbys less entangled with BS like this. This is about corals and the future of the hobby. John sends.

The signature line is fine I think. Aas far as I know TRT isn't looking for more sponsors, though that isn't my department.
We do however appreciate any input especially from those that have experience with captive raised animals. Like you said it's all about improving the hobby. FWIW I was going to reply to the other thread and apoligise for it getting off on a wieerd tangent. Please enjoy your stay and by all means share your experience

Cubera;
Thank you for telling us about your endeavours, what you are doing is very admirable, responsible and important. I only asked that you limit the official advertising of your site to your signature line as we have asked any other business/entrepreneur to do that does not pay for advertising on this site. I'm sorry if you viewed it as political BS.

Thank you all sincerely for allowing me to help straighten some bent feelings. Your replies are much appreciated and very much in the spirit and tradition of this fantastic reef discussion board. I understand completely and will not 'plug' our shop again. John sends.

Cubera,
No offense taken and no apology needed. Alice was just clarifying the Board's policies with respect to commercial advertising. We have many, many, members who are in commercially involved in our hobby, either full or part time. All are welcome. The knowledge and experience you have with respect to raising corals is certainly welcomed and look forward to your input.

No cubera, thank you, and thank you for what you are doing for the hobby and for the wild reefs. We're glad to have you here, I know there is much information you can share with us, maybe we will have some insights useful to you, too. I don't know much about raising/husbandry of SPS corals and I look forward to your imput.
I wish you only good fortune with your business.
~Alice
