Thanks, Jenni! No problemo about the name; I forget my own sometimes.
I got ME a Nikon D40 with 18-135mm lens. She loves taking photos and this will be an excellent camera for her to grow with. There's a discussion about cameras in the Photography Forum.
Now, to put the camera together and wrap it up to give her this afternoon.
