Tetra's NO3 Test????????

The first level on this test after 0 is 12.5mg/l. I did this test on my reef tank and it keyed out to 12.5mg/l. Does anyone else use this test??? Is it not sensitive enough for a reef tank? I was wondering if it were say 5mg/l (which is an ok value right?), would it still go to the lowest (12.5) on the scale?????? Or am I reading it wrong??? Any help would be appriciated!

Dennis

Hmmmmmmm, never used that one Dennis, I use the Fastest which has a lowend of 2 I believe. If the lowests reading is 12.5 meq/l then a positive reading isnt a good one for a reef.My bad, the Fastest is 10 mg/l as the low reading, SO a positive reading calls for finding out why, I would apply the same logic to the Tetra kit, assuming the readings are somewhere near right.
