Testing Sand?

Just a quick question. I was told that one way to test sand to make sure that it is aragonite or calcium carbonite based was to put it in pure vinegar and if it disolves than it is aragonite or calcium carbonate based. So I am testing some sand that I bought in bulk from my LFS. I put a small pinch in about 3 oz of pure vinegar and it started putting of a milky haze and small micro bubbles. This means that it is aragonite or calcium carbonate based correct?

Yes, if you get that type of reaction it is the "right" kind of sand for your tank!
