test results for cycling tank

my tank is in it's second week and here are my results ph 8.0

ammonia 8.0
nitrite 0
nitrate.50

things are going along! keep an eye on that ammonia level. that needs to be 0. kinda surprising that your Nitrite is not higher with an ammonia reading like that.

i like to let tanks cycle for 2 months with LR alone before adding anything. JMO

I agree, take it slow! I added corals too early and it wasn't pretty, of course, that's before I found everyone here!
